Making a Booking

OK, so you have decided what you want - how do you go about booking in?

Bookings can be via phone, fax, email or alternatively by popping in to see us in person, and are by appointment only. Should you be unsure what you require or wish to discuss your requirements further please feel free to contact us.

If your booking is for a service over £250 then we will require a debit or credit card to secure the booking; we must stress that nothing will be charged to your card at any point unless you do not arrive at your appointment or cancel within 48 hours, in which case a £25 (inc. VAT) booking fee will be taken on the day of your booking. However if you turn up as booked the details will be destroyed. Your details are held securely and never passed to any other parties.

Should your booking involve ordering a non-stock item you might be required to pay for the part in full and settle the outstanding on the day.

Making a Payment

Payment via debit or credit card is welcome as are cash transactions. There is a small surcharge for payments made via credit card.

It is worth noting that should you be taking advantage of our collection and drop-off service that payment for the service received has to be made in cash; you are welcome to have the car collected and make payment in person at the premises via debit or credit card, but regrettably we cannot take payment over the phone for security reasons.

Cheques are unfortunately not accepted unless cleared in advance.

PSR Automotive do not offer credit of any kind.

What can I do on the day?

This will obviously be dependant on your booking; however, there are options.

Stay at the garage? You are most welcome to stay in our waiting area which has wireless Internet access allowing you to surf the Internet for either business or pleasure. We have hot and cold drinks available with a TV; you are welcome to bring any DVDs/music but we ask you to consider others in your selection.

Go into Bishops Stortford? Being only 5 minutes' walk from Bishops Stortford you can always go into town for shopping or meals; we will call you when work is complete and arrange a convenient time for you to return.

Go to London? As we are so close to the train station you could always go into London; again we will call you once work is complete and arrange a convenient time for you to collect.

Go Paris, Dublin or Rome maybe? May sound crazy to some but providing you book in advance it can work out cheaper travelling to mainland Europe than London. Travelling via the likes of Ryanair, flights can be as little as 1p and being so close to Stanstead makes it a viable option. Should you opt for a weekend break we will be happy to look after your vehicle over the weekend (subject to availability).

Stay at home or work? If you are within 10 miles of us but cannot get away from other commitments we are happy to come to you and collect your vehicle with our dedicated recovery vehicle. For more details please see here.
